Funding Fact Canonical Date

Oracle E-Business Suite does not populate a GL Date for funding transactions. To enable reporting using the General Ledger calendar, EBS Data Intelligence Analytics Warehouse derives the GL Date from the Funding Allocation Date.

The derived GL Date is resolved using the General Ledger Calendar associated with the project’s Operating Unit (OU).

Using the Funding Allocation Date as the GL Date enables cross-functional reporting across subject areas that rely on the General Ledger calendar. For example, users can analyze project funding alongside project billing by Fiscal Year or other GL accounting periods.

Organizations that do not require GL calendar-based analysis can alternatively perform reporting using the Enterprise Calendar.

The derived GL Date (Funding Allocation Date) serves as the canonical date for the Project Funding fact tables and is also used for global currency exchange rate calculations.
