Spend Categories Configuration Notes

Note the following for the FILE_ORA_OP_SPEND_CATEGORY dataset.

Every Procurement Category should have a corresponding Spend Category mapping. Changes to Spend Category mappings affect historical and future reporting based on the ETL processing strategy. It is recommended to validate the mappings after adding new Procurement Categories or reorganizing category hierarchies.

This configuration ensures that procurement transactions are consistently classified into business-defined Spend Categories, enabling accurate spend analysis, category reporting, and procurement performance monitoring across the organization.
