Extract Definition Creation Options

You can create an extract definition using standard views or user-defined queries.

Use standard views to select the business views, attributes, and filtering rules for the data that you want to extract.

Use user-defined queries when you have complex data-extraction requirements, such as extracting data from multiple tables, that standard views don't meet. Create the user-defined query before you add it to an extract definition.
