How Contact Lists Work

From the Contacts tab of the contact list editor, you can add existing contacts to the list or create new contacts and add them to the list.

You can search your list of contacts, remove contacts from the list, or edit contact records. See Overview of Contacts. Contacts can also be added to lists in large batches using the Data Import Wizard. See How Data Import Works.

Note: Keep in mind that in some cases your contact list may time out before it can show your results. When this happens, a message displays on the Contacts tab of the contact list editor where you have the option to queue your results and then view them in a report. Alternatively, you can refine your search criteria to return less data. See Overview of Queuing Reports, How You View Reports in the Queue, and Search for Records in a Report.
