Add an Image or a Document Link to an Article

You can add images, documents, or other files (assets) inline to rich text fields in articles. You add images to articles by using the image function of the editor to upload them, then placing the image anywhere in the field. You can modify the image size or add and remove borders from the image when you insert it, and you can edit the image size or borders at any time. You add documents and other file types to rich text fields using the Add Link button.

Note: Images and documents that you add to an article are visible inline in the published article text. Images display inline with the text, and documents display as icons in the location where you add them. Users can open images and documents outside of an article by clicking on them. When users click on an asset to open it outside of the article, the asset's URL will be valid only for a set period of time. The amount of time that asset URLs are valid is set by your application administrator.
