Setting Up Renewal Opportunities

Oracle CPQ checks for subscriptions that are due to expire soon and automatically creates quotes of type Renewal, which in turn create the Renewal opportunities.

These renewal opportunities from Oracle CPQ appear in the Opportunities list of the sales application. However, for your users to distinguish these opportunities as renewals, you must enable the settings listed in this table:

Enable the Revenue Line sync feature

Verify the CX Sales and Oracle CPQ attributes mapping to synchronize revenue lines from quote lines

Verify the Quote Headers and Opportunity attributes mapping

Add the Opportunity Type attribute to the custom Landing, Creation, and Details layouts

Application Composer > Standard Objects > Opportunity > Pages.

Add the Revenue Type Category attribute to the Products section of the custom Creation and Details layout of Opportunity

Note: The Revenue Type Category will be set to Renew, based on the renewal quote information provided by the Oracle CPQ.

Note: Your users can create renewal opportunities manually as well.
