Create a new layout
You can create a new layout by cloning an existing layout and them making modifications to the copy. This allows you to configure things like site settings, notes, viewports and other information.
- After accessing the Design page, click the Layouts tab.
- Highlight the layout that you want to clone and click the Clone Layout option from the toolbar.
- Enter the new layout’s name and other information.
- Click Save to confirm all of the new settings.
Once you have created a new layout, you can add widgets or other components to it as necessary. For detailed information on creating and customizing new layouts, see Design Your Store Layout.
Note: When creating a new layout, make sure that the roles are set correctly. To begin using the new copy, you must delete the roles from the old copy of the layout and add them to the new layout.
