Search Contacts in LinkedIn From An Oracle DataFox List
Oracle DataFox helps you find and prioritize best-fit companies by quickly layering filters over the 2.7 million companies in the database. After identifying interesting companies, you can leverage the LinkedIn integration to find the right contacts at those companies to start a conversation.
Sign in to Oracle DataFox and navigate to the Companies tab.
Apply the relevant filters until you have a list of target companies that match your ICP or investment thesis. Let’s look at a simple criteria in this example for headcount, location, industry, and funding information.
Create the dynamic list.
Search for contacts via LinkedIn, as shown in this screenshot.
This creates a new window where you are offered a variety of options for searching LinkedIn contacts.
In our example, we’ll bulk search for CFO across all companies that match our filtering criteria in Sales Navigator if you have a subscription or by searching through your connections.
All companies are instantly added to the LinkedIn filters and you can now leverage additional LinkedIn filters to identify the proper contact.

Use Signals to Find Prospects
Signals are a great way to find prospects. On any list or dynamic list, you can use Oracle DataFox Signals to build prospects reaching a key milestone.
Use Signals to Identify Top ProspectsSignals work like a newsfeed of key milestones. You can use them for identifying new prospects and other valuable information.
Let’s say you’re interested in growing companies. You can filter by only growth signals and identify companies who have just hired a key executive, won a major award or opened a new office (among 40+ other signals).
To access them, you can click directly on a company name and select the Signals tab.
You can filter signals inside of Oracle DataFox from your created lists. This is a great way to ensure that your team is prioritizing the accounts that will drive the most value for your company.
For example, you can run a search for companies with new Partnerships in the past year or received private funding.

If you're not sure which signals to prioritize, you can leverage the Summaries Tab to take a look at which signal categories your current set of customers fall into.

Example of Signal Alerts
Use Signals from EmailsIt's crucial to reach out to prospects at the right time. With Oracle DataFox, you can contact a top prospect using Company Signals sent to your inbox or Slack.
In this topic, let’s look at an example of an outbound prospecting rep Alex. In the daily email digest, Alex learned about an acquisition for one of his top prospects, Showpad. Alex then leveraged info from the acquisition and other account intelligence to craft a timely and relevant email to Showpad's VP of Sales.

How Company Signals are Configured
Oracle DataFox’s Company Signals improve your closing rates when you target the right companies at the right time. This is crucial, as relevant news and events about your prospects give you ammunition for personalizing messages, leading to higher response rates. See Overview of Company Signals.
You can organize your prospects in two different ways using Oracle DataFox (Lists and Dynamic Lists). See How You Organize Your Company Prospects with Lists. You can get alerts on both.
Signal Alerts on a List
Navigate to your Lists from the List tab.
Once done, select the bell icon, as shown in this screenshot.
The Alert Preferences window appears. You will now have various boxes to check for more in-depth control of what alerts you receive. You have the option to also receive alerts by daily email, weekly email, or Slack integration. See Integrate Slack with Oracle DataFox.
Select the types of alerts you want to receive and click Save Alert Preferences.
To manage your alerts, click your user name, and then click Alerts.
Signal Alerts on a Dynamic List
Creating Dynamic Lists allows you to edit the News Alerts you receive from the companies contained within.
Search for companies using filters.
Click Create Dynamic List. You must have less than 100K companies listed for a Dynamic List to be created.
Select your Alert frequency settings. To adjust your settings, click the bell icon.
Select the types of alerts you want to receive and click Save Alert Preferences.
To manage these alerts, click Alerts in the navigation and select the Dynamic List tab.
Filter Executive Hires
Sign in to Oracle DataFox and navigate to the Companies tab.
Select Add a Filter and navigate to Executive Hire.
Enter CFO in the Executive Hire field. You may also select a specific date to search for companies who hired a CFO to reach out at the opportune time.Based on the criteria input, you see a new round of results, as shown in this screenshot.
You can also try filtering for other positions. In this example, let’s filter for VP of Sales. Repeat the steps and enter VP of Sales.
Once again, you get a targeted list of results out of the 2 million companies listed in Oracle DataFox.
You can also add the Executive Hire column after inputting your custom field. To do so, all you need to do is apply your filter with similar steps as above (input search and then date).
Click Apply to view the results.
Now, you can add the column to show up by selecting the Customize Fields icon.
On the Customize Fields dialog box, find and add the Executive Hire column to the Active Columns section.
Now, the field appears on the Companies page.
The company profile appears and shows the actual article that caused the company to populate in the search.
Filter Job Postings
Use the Job Posting filter to receive specified alerts so that you can focus on:
Companies with new job hires such as a Sales Ops Manager
Companies with job postings looking for specific skill sets like Machine Learning, Python, or Marketo.
This filter is easy to use and let’s see how in this quick tutorial.
Sign in to your Oracle DataFox instance and select the Companies tab. Find and select Add a Filter.
Click Job Postings.
Enter positions or skill sets in the Job Posting Text field. In this example, let’s enter sales ops manager.
You can modify this by date as well, looking for hires on specific dates for ideal reach out times.
After the filter is applied, you see the contained results out of Oracle DataFox’s list of over two million companies.
Filtering by Skill Set
Let's say you want to target companies hiring for specific skill sets. You can also filter by skill sets. In this example, let's filter for python.
Repeat the steps under Filter Job Postings. Enter python in the Job Posting Text field.
When these results are applied, a select number of companies is displayed.
Add Job Posting Column
The Job Postings filter also has a column which can be added.
Simply follow the steps above (searching for a position, inputting relevant date, and applying filter) to utilize it.
After the filter is applied, your results will appear. Now you can go to the Customize Fields icon, select it, and adjust it.
Once the Customize Fields window appears, find and select Job Postings. Click the green + sign to move it to the active column space.
Once done, the column appears in your results. When you select View you will see the most relevant results, directly in a company profile.
The job posting filter allows you to filter for specific positions or skill sets within tens of thousands of job postings across millions of companies.
