Integrating with Oracle Address, Email, and Phone Verification Service

Integrate with Oracle Address, Email, and Phone Verification service to verify addresses in requests, loads, and merge imports.

You can connect to the Oracle Address, Email, and Phone Verification service to verify that the addresses are valid during the following operations:

Note:

In Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Data Management, the Oracle Address, Email, and Phone Verification service is used to verify physical addresses only. You cannot verify email addresses or phone numbers.

Configuring Address Verification

  1. Create OAuth client credentials for the Oracle Address, Email, and Phone Verification service. See How to Begin with Address, Email, and Phone Verification in Using Oracle Address, Email, and Phone Verification.
  2. Create a global connection for the Oracle Address, Email, and Phone Verification Service using the OAuth credentials that you created. You create a single global connection for address verification, and it is available to all applications. See Creating Global Connections.
  3. Create a String property with the Address sub-type and enable Address Verification on it. See List and String Data Type Parameters.

Working with Address Verification

After the connection with the Oracle Address, Email, and Phone Verification service is configured, you can work with address verification in these ways:

  • For interactive requests, when you enter an address with verification enabled, matching address suggestions are displayed as you type.
    • Select a matching address from the list. The address is marked as verified. If Standardize Verified Address is enabled on the string property (see List and String Data Type Parameters), then the property value is also updated with standardized text.
    • If you do not select a matching address from the list, the text that you entered is stored as the unverified address.
  • For request file uploads, viewpoint loads, merge imports, subscription requests, and consolidation requests, for each address property with verification enabled, a matching search is performed on Address type property values.
    • If the address property value is matched in the Oracle Address, Email, and Phone Verification service, the address is marked as verified. If Standardize Verified Address is enabled on the string property (see List and String Data Type Parameters), then the property value is also updated with standardized text.
    • If the address property value is not matched, a validation message is displayed for that request item. You can configure the severity of the validation message (see List and String Data Type Parameters)
