Managing Oracle Integration Cloud Integrations

After you create an Oracle Integration Cloud global connection, you can register OIC integrations in Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Data Management. Registering an integration makes it available to run and monitor from Cloud EDM. You can also edit and unregister an integration.

Considerations

  • You must either be a Service Administrator or have the Integration - Manage granular role in order to register, edit, or unregister an integration.
  • You must create a global connection with the Oracle Integration Cloud type before you register an integration. See Creating Global Connections.
  • Only OIC integrations that are available through the configured global connection and have been configured to use Cloud EDM are available for registration.
  • If your OIC environment organizes integrations into projects, enable Select Integration from a Project to browse the integrations within a specific project. If you do not enable this option, Cloud EDM displays only the available integrations that are not contained in a project.

  • Each OIC integration can be registered only once. Previously registered integrations are not available for selection when registering additional integrations.

  • Cloud EDM registers an OIC integration. During registration, you can specify a custom name and description for the integration without changing the name or description of the underlying OIC integration.

  • Cloud EDM displays the name and description of each available OIC integration, but it does not display the individual Cloud EDM operations that the integration performs.

Registering an Integration

  1. From Tools, select Integrations, and then click Register.

    Note:

If a global connection with the Oracle Integration Cloud type doesn't already exist, the Register button is disabled.
  2. Perform an action to select an integration.

    • To browse integrations within a specific OIC project:
      1. Enable Select Integration from a Project
      2. Select a project.
      3. Select an integration from the selected project.
    • To select an integration that is not within an OIC project: Select an integration from the Integration drop down menu.

    Tip:

If you do not see the integration that you expect when registering, verify the following:
    • The integration has been defined in OIC.
    • The integration is available through the configured OIC global connection and is configured to use Cloud EDM.
    • If the integration belongs to an Oracle Integration Cloud project, ensure that Select Integration From a Project is enabled and that you have selected the correct project. If the integration does not belong to a project, ensure that Select Integration From a Project is not enabled.
    • The integration hasn't already been registered as an integration in Cloud EDM.
  3. Review the default Name and Description.
  4. Optional: Modify the Name or Description. Modifying these values changes only the integration in Cloud EDM. It does not change the OIC integration.

    Note:

The registered name in Cloud EDM has to be unique.
  5. Click Register.

Editing an Integration

Considerations

  • You can edit only the Name and Description of a registered integration. The associated OIC integration cannot be changed after the integration is registered. To associate a different OIC integration, unregister the integration and register the new integration.
  • Changing the name or description of an integration in Cloud EDM does not change the corresponding OIC integration.
  • If the associated OIC integration cannot be found in the connected OIC environment, the Integration inspector indicates that the integration is no longer valid.

To edit an OIC integration:

  1. From the Tools menu, click Integrations.
  2. On the integration that you want to edit, click Actions Action menu icon, and then select Inspect.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Modify the Name or Description, as needed.
  5. Click Save.

Unregistering an Integration

Considerations

  • Unregistering an integration removes only the integration from Cloud EDM. It does not delete the associated OIC integration.
  • After an integration is unregistered, its associated OIC integration becomes available for registration again, provided it is still available through the configured global connection.
  • If you unregister an integration and later register the same OIC integration again, its previous integration history is available again in Cloud EDM.

To unregister an OIC integration:

  1. From the Tools menu, click Integrations.
  2. On the integration that you want to unregister, click Actions Action menu icon, and then select Unregister.
  3. When prompted, confirm that you want to unregister the integration.
