Using Environment Backup to Restore Environment

You can use Environment Backups to restore an environment to a previous state, including application artifacts and data. For example, you can restore the environment to the state it was in a few days ago using an available backup.

For information about how daily backups are created, the differences between Environment Backups and Artifact Snapshots, and version compatibility requirements, see Overview of Daily Backups.

To restore an environment using an Environment Backup:

  1. Use the listBackups EPM Automate command to list available Environment Backups and Artifact Snapshots archived in Oracle Object Storage.
  2. Identify the Environment Backup you want to use for the restore operation.
  3. Use the restoreEnvironment EPM Automate command to restore the environment from the selected Environment Backup. See Overview of Daily Backups section for details.
