Generative AI Governors and Limitations
The Generative AI (GenAI) narrative generation has the following limitations and governors.
Governors
Please note that these governors cannot be increased.
Note:
A single conditional text GenAI evaluation on a single cell requires one call to the Fusion GenAI service.
-
A maximum of 150 calls within a single request is allowed. If a report has over 150 conditions applied to cells in a grid, GenAI narrative text results will not be generated when this limit is reached.
-
A maximum of 5 threads can be used for calls to the Fusion GenAI service, if a large Report, Book or Bursting Definition is being run and all thread are being used up, additional Report, Book or Bursting Executions will have to wait until the threads are freed up.
Limitations
-
The comparative analysis use case can only be applied to a Period dimension and but not on other dimension types. It also can only be used with members in the same Period dimension generation, such as months or quarters only, and not mixed generations, such as months and quarters in the columns. This also applies to zoom enabled on Period dimension members; for example, with zoom enabled on Quarter members may result in quarters and months in the columns, which is not supported.
-
There are separate timeout governors for both the Fusion AI and the actual prompt request process connection (both 15000 milliseconds). If your request has reached timeout, then the default error message will display in the text box instead of generated text.
-
The describe the causality for exceptions and the comparative analysis use cases can only be applied to data cells and not formula cells.
