Limitations for Creating a Bursting Definition

In Reports, you will find limitations for creating a bursting definition.

Note the following limitations for creating a bursting definition:

• A bursting definition supports up to ten artifacts by default.
• The same artifact cannot be selected more than once in a bursting definition.
• The definition uses a common query configuration for the unified dimension list; separate query configurations at the artifact level are not supported.
• When artifact-identifying text functions are not configured, output-name collisions can overwrite library files or produce email attachments with the same name.

• For sending emails there is a 10 MB file attachment limit for each email.

• There currently is a maximum limit of 1000 members in a bursting dimension query.

• Migration from Financial Reporting batches or scheduled batches is not supported, due to differences in functionality and underlying architecture.

  If a bursting definition contains a book in which one or more additional books are inserted into the primary book (the main book), the Excel output generated from the bursting definition includes only the reports contained directly within the main book. Inserted books are not included in the Excel output. However, the PDF output generated from the bursting definition includes the inserted books within the main book.
