Merging and Separating Columns

You can separate multiple selections in a data column, or you can combine multiple data column selections into a single data column.

Merging Columns

To merge columns, select multiple columns, right-click, and select Merge Columns.

For example, this figure shows a table with the Short Term attribute in column D, and the Maturity Time attribute in column E.

Select both columns, right-click, and select Merge Columns.

Figure 4-28 shows the Short Term and Maturity Time attributes merged together in a single column.

Separating Columns

To separate columns, right-click on a column header and select Separate Columns.

As an example, Figure 4-29 shows a table with Short Term and Maturity Time attributes merged together in a single column D.
