Setting Up the Point of View
To set up the point of view:
- Open a table in edit mode of Table Designer. Ensure that you define at least one attribute has a Filter Criteria defined using CurrentPOV. For more information, see Creating a New Criteria.
- In the POV bar at the top of the table, click on a attribute label to open the selector for that attribute.

In the member selector, select one or more selections for the attribute by
clicking the check mark next to an attribute.
Note:
If you do not define a selection for the attribute, the system displays Default, and the report viewer can select any member that they have access to for that attribute.

To set POV options for an attribute, click
next to a POV attribute, and then select from the following:

Reset Selection—Resets the selection to Default.

Hide Dimension—Hides the attribute in Preview mode. This is available only if multiple selections are not defined for the attribute.

Global Dimension—Toggles the attribute between Global and Local POV.
Note:
If a POV attribute is defined as Local, when you preview the report in HTML preview, you make the POV selections above the table and not in the Global POV bar at the top of the report. The Local POV is not displayed when previewing the report in PDF preview.

Display Suggestions Only—Restricts report viewers to selecting only from the attribute selections that you specify in the POV. Viewers are not able to make selections other than what has been defined by thew report designer.

Print All Selections—Renders each selection for an attribute on a separate page or sheet when outputting to PDF or Excel.
Note:
This option is available only when there are multiple POV selections defined and Display Suggestions Only is selected.

Continue making selections and setting POV options for the remaining POV
attributes as needed. To reset all selections to Default,
click
at the far right of the POV bar and select Reset All to Default.
