Connection Issues with Self-Signed Certificates

To prevent security issues, self-signed certificates are not supported in Oracle Smart View for Office (Mac and Browser).

If you try to connect to a data source provider using a self-signed certificate, you may face errors such as "unable to connect to provider" or "access denied". These error are observed while sideloading on a Mac. Connection using self-signed certificates is not allowed in Smart View.

Oracle recommends using trusted and valid certificates while connecting to data sources to prevent any security issues.
