Signing Off On or Rejecting a Report Package

The signers review the final report and can either sign off on or reject the report package. Additionally, signers can attach a note with details on their action.

Before you begin the procedures in this topic, you should have launched Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, connected to Narrative Reporting, and opened a report package, as described in Connecting to Narrative Reporting in Smart View.

To sign off on or reject a report package:

  1. In the Smart View Panel, Content Selector drop-down list, ensure that Sign Off is selected.

    Selecting Sign Off launches the sign off instance document, which you review to sign off on the report package.

  2. Do one of the following:
    • If you are satisfied with your review of the sign off instance document, click Sign Off in the Narrative Reporting ribbon.

      When you sign off on the sign off instance document, the report package process is complete, and the report is ready for publication.

    • If you are not satisfied with the sign off instance document, click Reject Sign Off in the Narrative Reporting ribbon.

      The report package owner can take corrective actions to address issues.

  3. Optional: Whether you are signing off or rejecting the report package in the sign off instance document, add a comment in Add Note, and then click Sign Off or Reject Sign Off.

After all signers approve the report, the report package status becomes "Final."
