About Reports in Smart View
Reports is a cloud-based reporting solution for creating Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management financial and managerial reports. It enables users to insert charts and grids utilizing Cloud EPM sources into a report.
Report grids are tables that contain data from external data source connections. Service Administrators add grids to Reports, defining the dimension layout, selecting members, and then formatting the grid. They also define the grid content using text, dimensions, members, and formulas.
Using Oracle Smart View for Google Workspace, you can work on reports in Google Sheets.
Working on Reports in Google Sheets
You can analyze Reports data and examine it from different perspectives by changing POV and selecting prompts in Google Sheets using various Smart View capabilities.
Using Smart View, you, as a user, can open reports in Google Sheets and do the following:
- Import a report grid as an ad hoc grid. You can then perform supported ad hoc operations on the grid, such as pivoting and member selection, directly against the data source. See Importing Reports as Ad Hoc Queries in Google Sheets.
- Insert a report in the same spreadsheet as a fully-formatted report. See Inserting Formatted Reports in Google Sheets.
-
Once inserted, you can do the following operations on reports:
- Change the POV.
- Edit the prompts, if available in the report.
- Generate an ad hoc grid from the report, and then perform further ad hoc operations for analyzing data.
- Refresh report data.
