Accessing the Job Console

To access the Job Console, from the Narrative Reporting Home Page, select Jobs.

To access the Job Console:

The Job Console has the following areas:

• Schedule Jobs – schedule a new job.

  Note: Only bursting definitions in the Narrative Reporting Library can be selected for scheduling. Remote library bursting definitions cannot be selected.

• Pending Jobs– lists and maintains all current and pending jobs, including recurring scheduled jobs.

  • You can filter the display to show Pending jobs (waiting to be executed) or All jobs (includes completed jobs).

  • You can filter the list of pending jobs by Job name by entering filter criteria text into the search text box.

  • You can Delete Scheduled Jobs, which deletes selected scheduled jobs in Pending Jobs.

  • For each pending job, you can either Edit, Copy or Delete a selected pending job. You can edit a completed job to run it again, editing the scheduling timing and recurrence.

• Recent Activity– lists and maintains all recent jobs, including bursting definitions and report package data source refreshes executed by a scheduled job and internal jobs such as import/export artifacts.

  • You can filter the display between System (such as import/export artifacts), Scheduled (bursting definitions and report package data source refreshes) and All.

  • You can filter the list of pending jobs by Job name by entering filter criteria text into the search text box.

  • You can Delete Activities, which deletes selected jobs in the Recent Activity panel.

  • For each recent job, you can either view the execution Details or Delete a selected recent job.

• Time Zone – select a time zone to view the scheduled jobs. The default time zone for a user in the Job Console is the time zone selected in user preferences.

• Refresh – refreshes both the Pending Jobs and Recent Jobs list.
