About Granular Roles

Granular roles enable Service Administrators to customize a user's access beyond the capabilities granted to that user by an application role. While users with the Service Administrator or Power User roles can access most of the functional areas in Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, users with the User or Viewer application roles have a much more limited set of access privileges provided to them by their application roles. Granular roles enable these users to access functionality that their application role does not grant them by default.

Note:

Granular roles can only enhance the access rights of users; none of the privileges granted by an application role can be restricted by assigning a granular role.

For a list of available granular roles in Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, see Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management in Administering Access Control.
