  • Use offset source if no integration to GL is required and reporting needs are only management reports.

  • Because the offset writes the data, do not use upper-level members in the offset definition. You should question any design that requires an upper-level offset as this implies another allocation of offset amounts.

  • Use the Allocation Accounts and/or Data Step dimensions to categorize offsets and make them easier to isolate for integration purposes.
