Compacting the Outline

The Compact Outline job compacts the outline file of a cube. Compaction helps keep the outline file at an optimal size. Compacting the outline does not clear the data.

To schedule a job to compact the outline file of a cube:

  1. From the Home page, select Application, and then Jobs.
  2. On the Jobs page, select Actions, and then Schedule.
  3. In the General step of the Schedule Job page, select Compact Outline, enter a name for the job, enter information about when and how often you want to run the job, and then click Next.

  4. In Job Details, select a cube, and then click Next.

  5. Review the details for the job, and then click Finish to run the Compact Outline job.
