Creating an Attribute Dimension

To create an attribute dimension:

1. From the Home page, select Application, and then Overview.

2. On the Application page, select the Dimensions tab.

3. Select a cube, and then click the name of the dimension for which you want to assign an attribute.

4. Click (Edit Dimension Properties tab).

5. On the property page for the dimension, in the Custom Attributes section, click Create.

6. In the Create Attribute dialog box, enter the the following information:

   • Name: See Naming Restrictions for Dimensions, Members, and Aliases.

   • Data Type: See Understanding Attribute Data Types.

   Note: The Is Indexed Attribute? option is not applicable to Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management.

7. Click Save.

Note:

To edit or delete an attribute dimension, click (Actions icon) next to the attribute, and select Edit or Delete.
