Viewing Pending Jobs and Recent Activity

By default, when you first access the Jobs console, the Recent jobs list displays the last three days' jobs. You can expand this by adding a date filter.

  • To switch the view from Recent to Pending, click the drop-down arrow next to Recent, and select Pending.

  • To search or filter the job list, perform an action:

    • To search for job by name, enter text in the Search field, and then press Enter or click Search (search icon).

    • To filter jobs, click a tab under the Search field to add that filter to the Search. Then, click the filter in the Search field to select the parameters for the filter. You can add more than one filter to the Search field. To remove a filter from the Search field, click X on the filter tab.

      Note:

The default parameter is automatically selected. De-select that parameter to filter by a different parameter value.

      The following filters are available:

      • Job Type: Type of job that was run (for example, Clear Cubes). For more information, see Job Types. By default, Import Security is displayed.

        Note:

You can select multiple job types. The number of selections appears in the Search field. For example, if you select two job types, it will show as Job Type (2) in the Search field.
      • Status: Status of the job (for example, Pending). By default, Completed is displayed.
      • Start Time: Date and time range that a job was started. Click Calendar (calendar icon) to edit the date and time range.
      • End Time: Date and time range that a job was completed. Click Calendar (calendar icon) to edit the date and time range.

      Note:

After selecting one or more of the above filter criteria, you can also enter a search text or wildcard character in the Search field and press Enter.

The search results are listed in the Jobs console.

  • To sort data in each column in ascending or descending order, click Sort (sort jobs icon) in the column header.

  • To view a job's details, click Actions (actions menu), and then select Details.

Note:

  • The application is automatically refreshed during an application upgrade. Any errors that occur during the upgrade are captured in the Content Update job.

  • If a scheduled job execution is terminated because of automated daily maintenance, an EPM Automate resetService command, or due to an unforeseen outage, the job will be restarted when the environment comes back online.

  • Jobs older than 90 days are purged.
