You can use the Undo Install action to track equipment or inventory removed from the
mobile worker’s pool. For example, if a mobile worker installs a wrong inventory item, they
can undo the installation. Here, when the equipment is installed, it moves from the mobile
worker’s pool to installed pool, and when the installation is undone, it moves back to the
mobile worker’s pool.
-
If you're a dispatcher, sign in to the Dispatch Console.
If you're a mobile worker, go to the landing page on your installed app.
-
Open an activity that's in the Started status.
-
Open the Inventory page and select the required equipment
in the mobile worker’s pool.
-
Click Undo Install.
-
Enter the details of the inventory that you want to undo installing.
If this is non-serialized inventory and you enter a value that exceeds the
quantity precision that's configured for the inventory type, then the precision
is rounded off. For example: Quantity precision for an Inventory type = 2. You
enter 1.4552; this is rounded off to 1.46. In general, the half-up rounding rule
is applied; that is, 0.5 becomes 1 and 0.4 becomes 0. If you enter extra zeros
after the decimal point, then all trailing zeros are trimmed and not displayed
in the inventory pool. If you try to undo the installation of more
non-serialized inventory than you've in the 'Installed' pool, then the message,
'The quantity 6.5 exceeded your available quantity of 5. Are you sure you want
to proceed?' is displayed.
-
In the Storage Location field, select the resource pool
to which the inventory must be returned to.
For serialized inventory, the storage location (mobile worker or van) from
where the part is taken is selected by default. For non-serialized inventory,
the mobile worker whose route is open is selected by default. In both cases, you
can browse and select other available storage locations.
You can see this
field only if these conditions are met:
- Your administrator has added the Resource Id [inv_pid] property to
the Deinstall Equipment context layout
structure.
- You are part of a team with other resources (such as mobile workers
or vehicle), and the Share inventory in
teamwork option is selected for your resource
type.
-
Click Submit.
The equipment now appears in the mobile worker’s pool with its quantity
incremented.
