View and Download Attachments for an Activity

You can view and download the attachments that are captured for an activity either before uploading them, or after uploading.

When you open a screen that contains an Attachments property, the application will show a list of attachments which will include:

  • Files attached to a work order in Fusion Service/Maintenance Cloud
  • Photos attached in Oracle Fusion Field Service
Note: Photos and PDF files in the list are marked with the specific icon while all other type of files will be identified with the unified attachment icon.
  1. Open the activity and go to the form (for example, Asset Validation) to which the photos/files are attached.
  2. Click Forms Submitted.

A list of the attached photos or files is displayed. The list contains up to five previews. If you've taken more than five photos/files, a plus sign appears with the number of extra photos/files.

  3. Click Preview to open the full-size photo/pdf files in a gallery to navigate through the photos/files.
Note: The application displays the file name and type for files that you cannot preview. Also, it is not possible to view attachments from Oracle Integration (OCI) Object Storage that are not attached from Oracle Fusion Field Service.
You can preview these most common files formats:
    • Photos in JPEG or PNG formats
    • PDF files
You can also see a placeholder of a photo/file in a series with the total number of photos/files. To display a photo/file, the application calls it from Fusion Attachments or Oracle Cloud Object Storage and shows it in the gallery. Photos/files that aren't yet uploaded are called from a mobile device. This behavior must be considered especially for mobile workers working offline.

    Download Attachments

You can download attachments locally when you need. For example, you can download, and view sample instructions shared with mobile workers provided as a Word document. To download attachments, click the Download icon either in the list next to the desired file or in the gallery.
