Add a Shift in Oracle Fusion Field Service
You can add shifts for special types of shifts that don't fall within the traditional 24-hour clock. You can create separate shifts for each working time pattern within your organization.
- In Fusion Setup and Maintenance, go to Navigator > My Enterprise > Offering Setup. Select the Field Service offering. In the Scheduling and Dispatch functional area, select the Shifts and Schedules task. The Shifts page displays all the shifts you've created so far.
- In the Setup field in the header, select Shifts.
-
Click the plus icon.
The Add Shift drawer opens and displays the General and Translations tabs.
-
Complete these fields as needed:
- Enabled: Move the slider to enable the shift. The shift is disabled by default, you must enable it to assign it to resources.
- Label: Enter a unique identifier for the shift. This identifier is mapped to the REST API.
- Name: Enter a name for the shift.
- Organization: Select the organization to which you want to add the shift. For example, if you operate in different countries, select the organization that's specific to the country in which the shift is used.
- Type: Select the type of shift. Common shift types include Regular for standard periods of time, or On-call for longer time frames that a resource might be available, after the regular shift ends. Select the color-coded decoration that you want to attach to the shift. When you add this shift to a resource, this icon is displayed on the Dispatch Console, Manage, Calendar, and Resource Calendar pages, and on the resource avatar.
- Shift Start Time: Enter the start time for this shift.
- Shift End Time: Enter the end time for this shift.
-
Click Add.
The shift is added.
-
To edit a shift, click Edit on the
Shifts page.
The Edit Shift drawer opens, which is similar to the Add Shift drawer. Make the changes as required and click Update.
