Add an Activity Type Group in Oracle Fusion Field Service
You can use an Activity Type Group to group activities based on a common theme, such as customer activities, maintenance activities, and so on. This grouping helps in generating and viewing activity-related reports.
-
In Fusion Setup and Maintenance, go to Navigator > My Enterprise > Offering Setup. Select the Field Service offering. In the
Scheduling and Dispatch functional area, select the
Activity Types task. The Activity Types page displays all
the activity types you've created so far.
To use Fusion Setup and Maintenance, you must have either the ORA_FFS_FIELD_SERVICE_APPLICATION_ADMINISTRATOR_JOB role or a custom role containing duties from ORA_FFS_FIELD_SERVICE_APPLICATION_ADMINISTRATOR_DUTY.
You must enable the Permission Group Job Roles through the Security Console to allow access to these configuration pages. This applies to users assigned to the Field Service Manager or Field Service Application Administrator roles. Due to a known issue, you must manually enable Permission Groups for the Job Role through the Fusion Applications Security Console. Ensure that the user account being used has the required Job Role assigned. Sometimes, existing users with the required Job Role might still not receive the appropriate permissions until the role is manually removed and re-assigned. After completing the steps above, it might take about 10 minutes for the changes to become effective.
-
In the Setup field in the header, select Activity Type
Groups.
The Activity Type Groups page displays all the Activity Type Groups you’ve created and the number of activity types associated with each group.
