Properties Supported in Forms

You can use native and custom properties for activity, inventory, resource, and user entities.

In Oracle Fusion Field Service environments, you can also add supported Fusion business object fields to forms.

The supported Fusion business objects are:

  • Service Work Order
  • Maintenance Work Order
  • Maintenance Work Order Operation
  • Project
  • Project Task

The availability and editability of Fusion business object fields depend on the supported UI permission for each field. For the list of supported fields and descriptive flexfield (DFF) types, see Supported Fusion Fields in Forms.

You can use properties in forms to:

  • Configure fields as read-only, read/write, or mandatory.
  • Control when native or custom properties appear by using visibility conditions.
  • Use property values in formulas, default values, and validation rules.
  • Let values be calculated automatically or entered by users.
  • Let users view and update property values in forms.
  • View submitted property values on the Forms History page.
  • Retrieve submitted property values through formSubmitted events in the Events API.

Note: Fusion business object fields follow the supported UI permission defined for each field.
