Add Capacity Categories and Time Slots

Note: This information applies to release version 26A and earlier. Starting from release 26B, all the Quota settings previously available on the Configuration > Capacity Categories and Configuration > Business Rules page are moved to the Quota > Configuration > Quota and Capacity Management page. This topic is being transitioned to the Using Capacity Service guide, which consolidates Quota and Capacity documentation in a single location. If you designate a bucket as a capacity bucket used for quota calculation, then the page displays the capacity categories and time slots fields. The selections you make here determine how the Quota section appears. Configuring capacity categories and time slots on a bucket-by-bucket basis is helpful when different regions and types of resources within these buckets require different skills and time slots.

1. Open Quota > Configuration.
2. Select a capacity area from the resource tree.
3. Select the time slots that will be used for quota management for this bucket.
4. Select the Capacity Categories that will be used for Quota Management in this bucket.
5. Click Save.
6. Define the Manage quota by day, Manage quota by capacity category, and Manage quota by time slot settings to determine visibility level in the Quota view for this bucket.
7. Click Save.
