Create Multiple Travel Keys Based on Organizations

When you operate in several countries, you might want to create travel keys based on the ZIP code format that is specific to the country. When you create country-specific travel keys, activity and resource locations belonging to these travel keys learn the travel statistics separately. With country-specific travel keys the travel duration can also be estimated more accurately. You can create multiple travel keys even if you operate in a single country.

Prerequisite: The required organizations are added on the Configurations > Organizations page.

  1. Click Configuration > Statistics.
  2. Go to the Activity Travel Keys section and click Add Travel Key.
  3. In the Select organizations field, select the organization to which you want to add the travel key.
  4. Click the plus icon and select the fields that you want to add as travel keys.
  5. Add the length of the key in the Length field.
If you've selected multiple fields (a combination of fields), you must add the length of the key for each field.
  6. In the next field, select whether you want the entire key as case sensitive or case insensitive, or just the first letter.
  7. Click Add.
The travel keys are displayed on the Statistics page. If the size of the key exceeds, it's truncated to 50 characters. If there’s no default travel key, the first key you add is set as default.
  8. To set a travel key as default, click the actions icon and then click Set default.
  9. To edit the default travel key, click the pencil icon and make the changes on the Edit Travel Key dialog box.
  10. To change the organization or the fields, click the actions icon and then click Change.
  11. To delete a travel key, click the actions icon and then click Delete.
You can’t delete the default travel key.
  12. To remove an organization linked to the default travel key, assign the organization to a non-default travel key.
When you do this, the selected organization is automatically removed from the default travel key.
  13. To add an organization to the default travel key, first unlink the organization from the currently associated non-default travel key.
When you do this, the selected organization is automatically linked to the default travel key. You can link an organization to only one travel key.
  14. Click Apply Changes on the Statistics page.
