You can use Maintenance Work Order and Maintenance Operation fields in work skill
conditions, work zone keys, activity duration keys, travel keys, and activity filters. This
helps you schedule and route activities that are linked to Maintenance Work Orders and
Maintenance Operations.
The activity must include the Maintenance Work Order ID and Maintenance Operation ID.
You can set these IDs when the activity and work order are created, either through
Oracle Integration or APIs. After these IDs are set, Oracle Fusion Field Service
uses the corresponding Maintenance Work Order and Maintenance Operation fields in
supported configuration areas.
Before you start
Before you configure Maintenance Work Order and Maintenance Operation fields for
scheduling, make sure that:
- The activity is linked to a Maintenance Work Order ID.
- The activity is linked to a Maintenance Operation ID.
- The required fields are available on the corresponding Maintenance Work Order or
Maintenance Operation.
- Any descriptive flexfields that you want to use are of type Character or
Number.
Note: Only Character and Number descriptive flexfields are supported.
Here's what to do

Review the activity fields that are prepopulated from the linked work order and
asset location.
When an activity is linked to a Maintenance Work Order and Maintenance
Operation, Oracle Fusion Field Service prepopulates some activity fields
from the linked work order and asset location.
Prepopulated Activity Fields
| Activity Field |
Prepopulated From |
| Street Address |
Asset Location Address Line 1 |
| City |
Asset Location City |
| State |
Asset Location State |
| Postal Code |
Asset Location Postal Code |

These values can be used by routing and scheduling when the corresponding
configuration uses activity address, SLA, Maintenance Work Order, or
Maintenance Operation data.
Results:
Oracle Fusion Field Service can use the supported Maintenance Work Order and
Maintenance Operation fields to schedule and route linked activities.
