Add Work Skills and Work Skill Groups to a Capacity Category

A Capacity Category can contain one or more work skills and each work skill must meet a minimum required level.

  1. Open the Quota page.
  2. Click the Configuration icon.
  3. Select the organization that includes one or more capacity areas in the resource tree.
  4. Click Configure Categories on the Quota and Capacity Management page.
  5. Select the Capacity Category that you want to modify.
  6. Click Edit Work Skills from the Actions corresponding to the selected Capacity Category.
  7. Select the Available Work Skills as required and click Add Selected.
  8. Select the Configured Work Skill and enter Work Skill Ratio in the corresponding text box.
  9. Click Save.
    Note:
    • The work skill ratio is the minimum level of work skill available with the corresponding Capacity Category.
    • The default value of the work skill ratio is 1. You can edit the work skill ratio as per your business requirement.
    • The application matches an Activity to a Capacity Category only if the skill required for the activity is equal to or more than the Capacity Category's work skill ratio.

      For example, you might create two capacity categories for installations, one for simple installation and one for complex installation. Both the capacity categories require the installation work skill, but the work skill level for the simple installation work skill will be lower than that of the complex installation.

    • To remove a work skill from capacity category, select the Configured Work Skill, click Remove Selected, and then click Save.
