Create a Capacity Category

A Capacity Category is a predefined set of work skills and/or work skill groups and time slots visible to a user who is booking activities for customers. You can create a capacity category to add work skills, work skill groups, and time slots.

  1. Open the Quota page.
  2. Click the Configuration icon.
  3. Select the organization that includes one or more capacity areas in the resource tree.
  4. Click Configure Categorieson the Quota and Capacity Management page.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Enter the appropriate information in the following fields:
    Option Description
    Name Enter the name of the capacity category. The name is displayed in the list and in the quota matrix. If the application is configured for multiple languages, input boxes will appear for each language.
    Label Specify a label. It is used in the context of APIs and it must conform to a standard naming convention.
    Active Select the Active check box to mark this capacity category as active. Only active capacity categories are used in the quota matrix.
  7. Click Save.
    Note:
    • After creating the capacity category, you must add work skills and time slots to the capacity category.
    • You can Activate, Deactivate, or Delete a capacity category as required from the Capacity Category list page. Select a Capacity Category to see the available actions.
    • You can also modify a capacity category using the Edit option from the Actions corresponding to the selected capacity category on the Capacity Categories list page.
