Configure Quota By Capacity Category Level

Configure the capacity area to calculate capacity at a capacity category level. This is the standard capacity configuration employed in general business scenarios.

1. Open the Quota page.
2. Select the bucket for a Capacity Area.
3. Click the Configuration icon.
4. Under Quota management > Manage quota by capacity category select:
   1. Enter quota as a percentage of category's maximum available capacity: Allows to enter the quota value as a percentage of the maximum capacity at the capacity category level. The quota value is calculated automatically when the required percentage is entered. Use this option only if you can estimate the maximum capacity allowed at this capacity category level.
   2. Enter quota as a percentage of the parent-level quota: Uses the quota at the time slot level to calculate the quota percentage for each day. Enter the required percentage, and the quota for each time slot is calculated automatically.
      • Estimate quota using historical data: Allows to estimate quota from the historical data. This option is available only when the Quota management is set to Based on Time Slots.
        • Use Historical Data: Select the historical values to be used to estimate quota. The available options are Quota Percentage and Used Quota Percentage.
        • Historical Data Period (Same Day): Select the length of the historical period to be analyzed. The available options are One Week, One Month, and Two Months.
      • Automatically adjust Quota Percentage values to sum up to 100%: Always allows to make the sum of the % Quota value equal to 100%. When selected, a change in the % Quota value of a time slot will update the % Quota values in the remaining time slots, so that their sum is always equal to 100%.
   3. Enter quota in minutes: Allows manually entering quota as number of minutes allowed to book the activities.
5. Click Save.
