Interactive Features

In addition to the layout, the Collaboration window provides interactive tools that enhance communication and coordination:

  • Chat controls: Options to manage conversations, including:
    • New Conversation: Starts a one-on-one or group chat.
    • Start Video: Initiates a video call with a resource.
    • Add User: Adds more participants to an existing chat.
  • Sharing capabilities: Users can share application data directly within the chat, including:
    • Images: Supports preview, zoom, and rotation.
    • Activities: Enables sharing and transferring activity details.
    • Inventory: Allows sharing or transferring inventory item information.
  • Message window: Supports expanding messages for easier reading and includes hyperlink support. It also provides contextual message management capabilities that allow you to edit, reply to, and delete messages within a conversation. Hover over a message to see the available action icons. If you are using the mobile app, long press the message to see the available action icons.
    • Edit message: You can edit messages that you have sent to individual users or groups within 15 minutes of sending them.
      • The updated text replaces the original message.
      • The original timestamp remains unchanged.
      • An (edited) label appears next to the message.
    • Reply to message: You can reply to any message in a conversation, including your own messages and messages sent by other users.
      • The original message snippet appears together with your response.
      • You can select the snippet to navigate directly to that message in the conversation.
    • Delete message: You can delete messages that you have sent to individual users or groups within 15 minutes of sending them.
      • You can delete only your own messages.
      • After deleting the message, the application replaces the original message with a notification indicating that the message was deleted.
      • The message is removed for all participants in the conversation.
    Note:
    • You can edit or delete a message only within 15 minutes of sending it.
    • Review messages promptly if you need to correct or remove information.
    • Use the reply feature in group conversations to maintain clear discussion threads and context.
