Add an Oracle Analytics Channel

You can add Oracle Analytics (OAC) channels using the Applications page.

Important: This information only applies to Oracle Field Service environments. You can verify whether you've Oracle Field Service or Oracle Fusion Field Service, by signing in and checking on the About page.

To add an OAC channel:

  1. Click Configuration, Applications.
  2. In the Applications page, click Add Application.
  3. In the Add Application dialog box, select Oracle Analytics from the Application Type drop-down list.
  4. In the Application Name field, enter the channel name to be displayed.
  5. In the URL field, specify your Oracle Analytical Cloud URL without the /analytics or /va URL extension. For example https://My OAC.oraclecloud.com.
  6. In the Connection Name field, provide the data source connection name defined in OAC.
    Note: Check the data source connection name defined at the path, Console/Connections/Connection name of the data source in OAC.
  7. In the User Name field, enter the name of the OAC User.
  8. In the Password field, provide the password associated with the OAC User.
  9. In the Confirm Password field, retype the same password.
  10. Click Add.

Results:

You can transfer data in near real-time/daily once based on the configuration for an entity. All supported fields for BICS transmission will be available for OAC data transfer. Steps to add fields into the OAC channel is same as that of BICS or DBaaS channel.
