Enable Integration Flow From Oracle Fusion Field Service

Now the system will perform the below setups automatically to enable the integration flow between Oracle Fusion Service and Oracle Fusion Field Service.

  1. Set up configurations on the Oracle Fusion Field Service side:
    1. Create a new OFS REST API application that will be used by Oracle Fusion Service integration recipe to use OFS REST APIs.
    2. In order to run the Oracle Integration recipe, a set of resource, activity and inventory properties have to be configured in Oracle Fusion Field Service. The Application will automatically create these administrator-defined properties in Oracle Fusion Field Service.
    3. The details of the predefined properties are available at docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/b2b-service/21c/faefs/oracle-field-service-configuration.html#FAEFS2421200.
  2. Set up Oracle Fusion Service configurations:
    1. Expose the work order setup, details are available at docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/b2b-service/21c/faefs/oracle-b2b-service-configuration.html#FAEFS2415183.
    2. Set up an Oracle Integration user and access privileges that is used in Oracle Fusion Service to connect with Oracle Fusion Field Service. The details about the user account and access privileges are mentioned docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/b2b-service/21b/faefs/oracle-b2b-service-configuration.html#FAEFS2415285.

    1. Set up recipe in Oracle Integration.
    2. Configure connection to Oracle Fusion Service
    3. Configure connection to Oracle Fusion Field Service
    4. Activate the integration test flow.
  4. You can view the progress of these steps from the Applications details screen.
Note: In case any of these steps fail, a corresponding step will be displayed with 'Failed' status. You can retry these steps by clicking the Retry option from the Applications detail screen.
  5. After successfully completing the configuration setup steps, the status will be shown as 'Completed'.

Results:

On completion of these setup steps, the integration flow will become activated. You can now perform these steps:
  1. Create a work order record in Oracle Fusion Service. An activity will be automatically created in Oracle Fusion Field Service.
  2. Move the activity in Oracle Fusion Field Service to a different date and time slot. It will automatically synchronize the scheduled time of the corresponding work order in Oracle Fusion Service.
