Import Users and Roles into Application Security
The next task in the list - Import Users and Roles into Application Security - runs a required process that copies users, roles, privileges, and data security policies from the LDAP directory, policy store, and Applications Core Grants schema to Oracle Fusion Applications Security tables. Having this information in the Oracle Fusion Applications Security tables makes the assisted search feature of the Security Console fast and reliable, while without this process running, the information shown in Security Console may become inaccurate. The best practice is to schedule this process to run daily.
Follow these steps to perform the Import Users and Roles into Application Security task:
- Sign in to your Oracle Applications Cloud environment as an implementation user.
- Click Navigator > My Enterprise > Setup and Maintenance.
- Ensure that Field Service is selected in the Setup field in the header.
- Click Users and Security in the Functional Areas section.
- Click Import Users and Roles into Application Security.
- Click Advanced.
- On the Schedule tab, set the Run option to Using a schedule.
- Set the Frequency to Daily and Days Between Runs to 1.
- Enter start and end dates and times. If you happen to be using auto-provisioning for user role assignments, then ensure that the start date here occurs after the Send Pending LDAP Requests process used within auto-provisioning completes.
- To get notified about the results of the process, select the Notify me when this process ends checkbox.
- Click Submit.
- Click OK to close the confirmation message, after which you return to the Functional Areas task list.
