Resolve Email Steps with Non-DKIM Reply Address Domains
Oracle Fusion Field Service validates the Reply address used in Email steps of message scenarios. The Reply address domain must be authorized for the subscription.
A Reply address domain is valid when it is one of the following domains:
-
The default Oracle Field Service domain, such as
fs.ocs.oraclecloud.com - A customer domain that is registered and DKIM-enabled for the subscription
For new Email steps, the Reply address defaults to
noreply@fs.ocs.oraclecloud.com.
In Oracle Fusion Field Service environments, the Reply address is fixed to the default value and cannot be changed. In non-Fusion Field Service environments, you can edit the Reply address, but only a DKIM-enabled domain is accepted.
When an existing message scenario contains an Email step with a Reply address domain that is not DKIM-enabled, Oracle Fusion Field Service helps you find and fix the configuration.
- A warning banner appears on the Message Scenarios page.
- The message scenario list marks the affected scenarios.
- The scenario steps list marks each affected Email step.
- When you open an affected Email step, the Reply address field is marked with an error.
Notes
- This validation applies only to Email steps of message scenarios.
- Other step types are not evaluated by this rule.
- A message scenario cannot be saved while an Email step contains a Reply address domain that is not DKIM-enabled.
- If DKIM validation cannot be completed when you save the scenario, Oracle Fusion Field Service prevents saving and asks you to try again later.
Results:
The scenario is saved only when each Email step uses a Reply address domain that is valid for the subscription.
What to do next
To use your own domain in the Reply address, register and DKIM-enable the domain first. For more information, see Register your Domain to Enable DKIM in the Using Cloud Console guide.
