Configuration Requirements for Service Work Order Debrief

Fusion products referenced in this topic: Oracle Service Logistics, Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM Product Management

Before you begin, ensure that the required setup is complete in Oracle Fusion Cloud Service Logistics, Product Information Management, Inventory Management, and Oracle Fusion Field Service.

  1. In Service Logistics, verify that the required billing types are enabled:

    • Assign labor items a billing type in the Labor billing category.
    • Assign expense items a billing type in the Expense billing category.
  2. In Product Information Management, create or review the labor and expense items. For each item:

    • Review the Service Logistics attributes.
    • Enable service billing, if required.
    • Assign the appropriate billing type.
  3. Assign each item to the inventory organization associated with the mobile worker’s default subinventory. Confirm the item number, description, primary unit of measure, and enabled status.

  4. In Service Logistics, configure the Service Activity Codes used in your Field Service business process. For each code:

    • Associate the appropriate labor or expense billing types.
    • Verify the transaction category and processing options.
    • Confirm that the code is enabled.
  5. If mobile workers add parts, configure the required items and inventory organizations in Product Information Management. Then, in Inventory Management and Service Logistics, configure the required subinventories, stocking locations, and item associations.

  6. Apply the available update for the Debriefing plug-in in Oracle Fusion Field Service.

  7. In the Debriefing plug-in configuration, verify that Oracle Fusion Cloud Service Logistics is selected and configured as the Fusion application.

  8. If you use the laborItemNumberForRegLabor or laborItemNumberForTravel configuration properties, verify that each value exactly matches an eligible labor billing-item number retrieved from Oracle Fusion Cloud Service Logistics.

  9. Allow the Debriefing plug-in to complete online synchronization before verifying the updated item selections.

Debrief retrieves labor and expense items for the applicable inventory organization. An item might not appear if it isn't assigned to that organization or doesn't have an appropriate billing type.
