How can I assign mobile workers a temporary work zone?
You can assign a temporary work zone to a resource, allowing them to perform tasks outside their standard work zone. During the specified period, the temporary work zone takes precedence over the resource’s regular work zones. In Oracle Field Service, each mobile worker (resource) can be assigned to only one bucket or organizational unit at a time within the hierarchy; assigning a resource to multiple buckets simultaneously is not supported. If your business operations require coverage in multiple areas, consider options such as temporary assignments, reallocating resources, or adjusting processes to suit your needs.
Results:
There is no need to remove temporary work zones once the date has passed. They expire on the end date and the normal work zones take precedence. These rules apply to temporary work zones:The End Date is mandatory.
You can assign temporary work zones only to resources. You can’t assign them to buckets or groups.
Only the Everyday recurrence is available for temporary work zones.
