Configure Bundling Activities for a Complex Scenario

Active routing profiles are used to route activities to resources. Inactive routing profiles aren't used. You deactivate a routing profile to save it for future use, but you don’t want to use it right now.

To activate (or deactivate) a routing profile:

  1. Make sure that you've an activity filter for all the smart home-related activity types. If not, then add it by navigating to Configuration > Filters.
  2. Navigate to Configuration > Bundling Rules. Make sure that the bundling rule is set to Active.
  3. Set up the bundling key to the Account field (or another field that uniquely identifies the customer).
  4. Navigate to Routing Plans and open the desired routing plan for editing.
  5. Review the Filters section and make sure that it includes the activity filters for smart home-related activities for all possible destinations. For activity filters:
    • Non-scheduled activities in the routing bucket that should be scheduled and assigned
    • Activities in the routing bucket that should be assigned
    • Preassigned non-scheduled activities that should be scheduled
    • Activities in the existing routes
  6. Change all the activity filters for smart home-related activities by selecting them and choosing Settings, and then changing the Bundling policy to All or None.
  7. In the Assignment Parameters section, set the Handling of preassigned activities to Move activities between resources routes and reorder within the same route.
  8. In the Preassigned activities filters, make sure that there's a filter that covers smart home-related activities.
  9. For this filter, set its Possible routing actions to Unschedule and move to the routing bucket.
