Reset an Admin User

Your Oracle Cloud Console (Cloud Console) signin credentials aren't the same as your Oracle Fusion Field Service signin credentials. For security purposes, your Oracle Fusion Field Service environment is provisioned without users. Therefore, you must reset an admin user by creating a new user or resetting the password for an existing administrator from the Oracle Fusion Field Service Service Console.

  1. Sign in to Oracle Fusion Field Service with your credentials and select open Service Console. The Service Console page appears.
  2. In the Environments list, open the actions menu for the target environment and select Reset Admin User.
The Reset Admin User dialog box appears. This image shows the reset admin user screen.
  3. Select Reset Password and select Continue.
  4. Enter the administrator's username in the Username field.
  5. Select Generate Password.

Note: You can’t reset passwords for users whose login policy is SAML, LDAP, or OpenID. Those users must reset their password with their identity provider. You must have privileges to reset administrator passwords in the selected environment.
  6. To create a new admin user from the Reset Admin User window, select Create New User and click Create.

A confirmation dialog appears and shows ‘Admin user has been created successfully’.
