Assigning User Access to Artifacts

As a Service Administrator, you assign security to artifacts, including forms, rules, dashboards, infolets, and reports. You can assign these access rights:

  • Write

  • Read

  • None

For example, to view a form, the only requirement is Read access. Write access give the user the right to modify a form (Power User or Administrator only).

The default security access is None for any artifact.

You can use groups to provide access permissions to your application artifacts. Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud recognizes three types of groups:

  • Predefined: These groups are automatically created for each predefined role. All users are assigned to a predefined group based on their predefined role (for example, Power User).

  • EPM: These are the groups that you create in Access Control in Tools.

  • IDCS: These are the groups that you create in the Oracle Cloud Identity Console. You can view them in Access Control and assign them to application roles and EPM groups.
