Generating Consolidation Job Analytics

You can generate a detailed analysis for consolidation jobs using a Consolidation Setting called Consolidation Job Analytics. When this setting is enabled, a GenAI-based job summary is generated for a Consolidation job when the job has completed. You can view the analytics from the Job Details for the completed job in the Jobs console.

To use this setting, you must also enable the GenAI option application setting in Application Settings.

Tips and Considerations

  • Consolidation Job Analytics requires an EPM Enterprise Close service subscription.

  • Consolidation Job Analytics works with applications with Hybrid Essbase enabled.

The Consolidation Job Analytics feature summarizes the information from consolidation reports on system calculations and customizations, and displays it in a user-friendly format in the same location as the Consolidation Job status. When there are application recommendations about the consolidation job, the message includes information about viewing recommendations.

The summary generation will be skipped in any of these conditions:

  • The Consolidation Job Analytics consolidation setting is disabled
  • The job duration is less than three minutes
  • There are no active customizations - Configurable Consolidation Rules, Translation Override Rules, Configurable Calculations (insertion rules) - applicable for the consolidation job

To generate Consolidation Job analytics:

  1. Enable the GenAI option application setting. From the Home page, click Application, then Settings, and from the Enable AI section, select Generative AI.

  2. On the Home page, click Application, then Consolidation Settings.

  3. From the Setting Type dropdown, select Consolidation/Translation.

  4. To enable the Consolidation Job Analytics setting, use the slider icon Slider button next to the setting.

  5. To save the setting selection, click Save. When you receive the saved confirmation message, click Close.

  6. When you run a consolidation job, you can monitor the status in the Jobs console. To view the status, click Application, then Jobs. After a consolidation job has completed, a substatus notice is displayed that job analytics are being generated.

  7. When the job analytics process has completed, the status returns to Completed. Click the name of the job to view Job Details.

    The generated summary is available in the Job Details.
