To use the Payables Payments REST API, you must have the necessary accounts payables-related privileges and be able to perform operations on payables payments in the Payables application. If you already have payables-related privileges, you do not need a new role or privilege to use the Payables Payments REST API.

You can use the Payables Payments REST API to perform these actions:

• Create Manual Type Payment
• View, Create, and Update Descriptive Flexfields
• View, Create, and Update Global Descriptive Flexfields
• Void a Payment

The Payables Payments REST API doesn't support creating payments for Quick and Refund types.
