Create a Complementary Fiscal Document for a Price Correction

You can manually create a complementary fiscal document for a price correction

The fiscal document tax amount is the tax amount indicated in the fiscal document whereas the tax amount is calculated based on the tax configuration. You can enter or update the fiscal document tax amount for manually entered price correction complementary fiscal documents. However, you cannot update the fiscal document tax amount on XML imported price correction fiscal documents.
  1. From the Fiscal Document Capture work area in Costing, navigate to the Manage Inbound Fiscal Documents task.
  2. Click Add to create a new fiscal document.
  3. Enter the fiscal flow as STANDARD COMPL for complementary fiscal documents.
  4. Select the parent document as the original fiscal document.
  5. Enter the other header information and click Save.
  6. Go to the Lines region and add fiscal document lines.
  7. Select the line as the fiscal document line from the original fiscal document. The tax determinants from the original fiscal document are copied to this line.
  8. Select the type as Price to indicate a price correction. The quantity is copied from the original fiscal document line as a reference.
  9. Click Save.
  10. In the Actions menu, click Capture Fiscal Attributes. Enter additional fiscal attributes if necessary.
  11. In the Actions menu, click Validate Fiscal Document. This action performs the tax calculation based on the tax configuration.
  12. Go to the Taxes tab and manually enter the tax lines if necessary.
  13. Enter Fiscal Document Tax Amount as the tax amount correction. The downstream processes consider this tax amount.
  14. Click Save.
  15. Validate the fiscal document.
    1. In the Holds and Validation Errors region, check for a hold or validation error.
    2. Correct the invalid information and release the hold for this fiscal document.
    3. Validate the fiscal document again.
      When there is no hold and no validation error, the fiscal document status changes to Completed prevalidation and the tax information cannot be updated.
  16. From the Invoices work area in Payables, navigate to the Manage Invoices task.
  17. Search for the generated invoice.
  18. Review the invoice header, lines, and taxes. The invoice line amount includes the price correction.
    Note: Tax lines are copied from the complementary fiscal document tax lines. The tax amount in the invoice is copied from the fiscal document tax amount.
