Create a Complementary Fiscal Document for a Quantity Correction

You can manually create a complementary fiscal document for a quantity correction.

  1. From the Fiscal Document Capture work area in Costing, navigate to the Manage Inbound Fiscal Documents task.
  2. Click Add to create a new fiscal document.
  3. Enter the fiscal flow as STANDARD COMPL for complementary fiscal documents.
  4. Select the parent document as the original fiscal document.
  5. Enter the other header information and click Save.
  6. Go to the Lines region and add fiscal document lines.
  7. Select the line as the fiscal document line from the original fiscal document. The tax determinants from the original fiscal document are copied to this line.
  8. Select the type as Quantify to indicate a quantity correction. The unit price is copied from the original fiscal document line as a reference.
  9. Click Save.
  10. In the Actions menu, click Capture Fiscal Attributes. Enter additional fiscal attributes if necessary.
  11. In the Schedules region, add the schedules and correct the corresponding purchase orders.
  12. Click Save.
  13. In the Actions menu, click Validate Fiscal Document. This action performs the tax calculation based on the tax configuration.
  14. Go to the Taxes tab and review the calculated taxes. Update the fiscal document tax amount if necessary, as downstream processes consider this tax amount.
  15. Enter Fiscal Document Tax Amount as the tax amount correction. The downstream processes consider this tax amount.
  16. Validate the fiscal document.
    1. In the Holds and Validation Errors region, check for a hold or validation error.
    2. Correct the invalid information and release the hold for this fiscal document.
    3. Validate the fiscal document again.
      When there is no hold and no validation error, the fiscal document status changes to Completed prevalidation and the tax information cannot be updated.
  17. In the Actions menu, click Confirm Item Deliveries to confirm the delivered quantity.
  18. Click Save and Close.
  19. In the Actions menu, click Validate Fiscal Document. Once the validation process is completed, the fiscal document status changes to Captured. A receipt and a payables invoice are created automatically.
  20. From Scheduled Processes, submit the Transfer Transactions from Receiving to Costing process to post transaction details from Receiving to Costing.
  21. From the Receipt Accounting work area in Costing, navigate to the Create Receipt Accounting Distributions task to create distribution lines for purchase order receipt transactions.
  22. Select the bill-to business unit as the business unit used to process receipt accruals in a trade transaction.
  23. Click Submit.
  24. From the Invoices work area in Payables, navigate to the Manage Invoices task.
  25. Search for the generated invoice.
  26. Review the invoice header, lines, and taxes.
    Note: Tax lines are copied from the complementary fiscal document tax lines. The tax amount in the invoice is copied from the fiscal document tax amount.
