How can I identify the request type to be sent to the tax authority?

The REQUEST_TYPE field indicates the type of request sent to the tax authority. The possible values are:
  • FISCAL_DOC_STATUS (Request the approval of a fiscal document from the tax authority)

  • CANCELLATION (Request the tax authority to cancel the fiscal document).

  • VOID (Request the tax authority to void a fiscal document number)
  • CONTINGENCY (Request the tax authority to approve a fiscal document generated in contingency)

How can I recognize the different types of fiscal documents?

This information can be used to identify the type of fiscal document:
  • DOC_NATURE: Indicates the nature of the fiscal document, such as:
    • 1 for regular fiscal document
    • 2 for complementary fiscal document
    • 4 for return fiscal document
  • DOC_ISSUE_TYPE: Represents the fiscal document issue type, such as:
    • 1 for regular fiscal document
    • 2 for contingency fiscal document
  • TRX_FD_TYPE_DETERMINANT: Represents the fiscal document determinant type and indicates the type of fiscal transaction supporting the fiscal document, such as:
    • GOODS_SHIPMENT for goods fiscal document
    • INTERNAL_TRANSFERS for internal material transfers fiscal document
    • RETURN_TO_VENDOR for return to supplier fiscal document
    • SERVICE_INVOICE for service fiscal document
    • MIXED_INVOICE for mixed fiscal document (goods and services)
    • RMA for return to customer fiscal document
    • EXPORT for exportation fiscal document

You can use the fiscal document determinant type to differentiate inbound fiscal documents from outbound fiscal documents. Return Material Authorization (RMA) indicates an inbound fiscal document. The other fiscal document determinant types are related to outbound fiscal documents.

How can I distinguish fiscal documents between goods and services?

The product type (PRODUCT_TYPE field) at the line level indicates if a goods or a service fiscal document is to be generated. The product type can be defaulted from the item configuration if an item was entered in the transaction line. If an item is configured as an inventory item in the Item Specifications, the product type default is Goods.

When is the Fiscal Document Number (DOC_NUM) populated?

A fiscal document number is created when the goods fiscal document is generated. For service fiscal documents, the Fiscal Document Number is blank until the fiscal document is approved by the city tax authority. Once approved, the service fiscal document receives a fiscal document number from the city tax authority and this number is captured by the Import Fiscal Document Approval Information process.

How do I know the purpose of a fiscal document issuance?

This information is provided as the fiscal document nature (DOCUMENT NATURE field). The possible values are:
  • 1 for Standard: used for regular fiscal documents
  • 2_PRICE for Complementary price: used by complementary fiscal documents for a price correction 2_QUANTITY for Complementary quantity: used by complementary fiscal documents for a quantity correction
  • 2_TAX for Complementary tax: used by complementary fiscal documents for a tax correction 4 for Return of goods: used by fiscal documents related to a return of customer or a return of supplier

How can I get the Transaction Nature Description?

Transaction nature description can be sale, purchase, transference, return, importation, and so on. This information can be derived from the transaction business categories (TRX_BUSINESS_CATEGORY) containing the Fiscal Code of Operations and Services (CFOP) codes.

How do I know the date when the service was provided?

The fiscal document extract file provides the transaction date (TRX_DATE field). This date is the basis for tax calculation.

How can I uniquely identify a specific transaction?

EVENT_CLASS_CODE and TRX_ID can be used to uniquely identify a transaction. For example, if the service invoice lines need to be grouped by service fiscal classification or any other criteria, only the lines of the same invoice should be grouped. In this case, you must identify the invoice by those attributes.

How do I indicate the Tax Authority Environment identification?

The Tax Authority Environment identification can be a production environment or a certification environment. The partner must indicate which one is being used.

How do I notify the tax authority that I am using a taxpayer application?

The fiscal partner responsible to format the fiscal document XML file must indicate that a taxpayer application is being used for example Oracle ERP Cloud.
